Bohemian chic
With the arrival of fine weather on the Côte d’Azur, the La Plage Barrière Le Gray d’Albion Cannes will begin its summer season in March.
Download the PDFAfter its hibernation during the cool winter months, the giraffe has had a face-lift and returns to keep a watchful eye on events taking place during the warm days (and nights) at the most bohemian of the Croisette’s beaches. Even more elegant and welcoming than ever, the beach of this 4-star hotel is perfect for visitors looking to laze and relax in the sun as soon as the first spell of warm weather arrives. With its entirely refurbished decor, the La Plage Barrière Le Gray d’Albion is striking for its original ambience which combines Bohemian and Eastern influences, with its eye-catching majestic giraffe greeting visitors at the bottom of the steps. This is a resolutely modern and trendy setting, decorated in shades of beige punctuated here and there by splashes of blue – an echo of the mysterious Mediterranean, whose gently lapping waves offer a soothing backdrop to the season’s first sun- worshippers as they relax by the water. Spending an afternoon lazing on a comfortable sunbed facing the Bay of Cannes with nothing but the blue sky stretching to the horizon remains a real privilege – and one that can be enjoyed on the French Riviera as early as the month of March.
Of course, this moment of well-being would not be complete without a gastronomic interlude to stimulate and surprise the senses. Food is without a doubt one of the highlights of La Plage. At the helm are chefs Maryan Gandon and Abdul Kantar, who have created a menu which offers and combines the flavours of Libya, Italy and the Mediterranean, taking guests on a veritable odyssey around the Grande Bleue. A true gastronomic voyage for the tastebuds!
From July onwards, after a peaceful and tranquil day in the sun, the beach becomes a place to party, with a lively exciting atmosphere at the La Plage Barrière Le Gray d’Albion. From 1 July to 31 August, themed evenings liven up the summer nights to the delight of dance lovers and music enthusiasts alike.
Last year’s themes, such as the “Gatsby”, “Flower Power” and “Jungle” evenings, proved to be a real hit thanks to their night-time party atmosphere and glamorous ambience.
